 FACTS: Rates of autism suggest that for every 2 boys that has Autism there is a girl that is on the spectrum

Often girls with Autism and Aspergers profile can

• Mask their difficulties

• They are good at mimicking others but do not

       understand the whys.

• "Camouflage" social confusion in silence and isolation

• Be vulnerable and not having the words to articulate  what abuse is or recognize that they are being abused.

• Have special obsessive interests that may affect them or others in a negative way (e.g., narrowing their choices in life).
